Train spotting at Tamworth
Tamworth is one of the most interesting stations for a spotter: the West Coast Main Line runs on a high-level pair of platforms, crossing the Birmingham–Derby cross-country route on the low level below. That layout, on the freight-heavy Trent Valley, makes it a favourite for watching fast expresses and a great deal of freight.
